The EX0699 is the most classic frame in the men’s range, and deliberately so. The front is rectangular with barely softened corners, the upper rim sitting slightly deeper than the lower one, and nothing here is trying to stand out: it’s a frame that works at the office and outside it, without having to adapt. It’s a broad-patterned havana tortoise, with amber and honey markings over a dark ground that change completely under direct light. Being a natural acetate, the pattern falls differently on every piece: no two frames in the same colour are ever identical. At the hinge, a diamond-shaped metal insert breaks up the surface without weighing it down; the temples are solid, matching the front, with a curved tip.
