The EX0812 is the most characterful frame in the men’s range, on two counts. The first is the drawing: a square front with sharp corners, an upper rim that lifts towards the outer edge in a broken line, and very full thicknesses all the way round. The second is the colour: a deep clear blue that lets light through and shifts from navy to ultramarine depending on how you catch it. It’s an uncommon choice on a men’s frame, where black and havana dominate. It works because the blue stays dark, so it doesn’t read as loud from across a room, but reveals its colour once someone is looking at you. A metal insert with a double rivet sits at the hinge, and a small four-point element in light metal on the front.
